Disco Jimmy likes to race, dance, and make romance. Not necessarily in that order.

Disco Jimmy is an unlockable racer in Beach Buggy Racing and Beach Buggy Racing 2. In the first game, he is the fourth character and the boss of the third set, Sunshine Sprint.

Appearance[]

Disco Jimmy appears as the stereotypical 70’s dancer. He sports a brown afro, purple-tinted shades with golden frame, a purple shirt that exposes his hairy chest overlayed by a white vest, and a white bell bottom jeans with purple accents suspended by a belt whose centerpiece bore the golden symbol of peace. He also wears a smug expression, with a raised eyebrow. And along with Beach Bro and Benny, he wears facial hair, only his was a flat, mid-trimmed moustache.

In Beach Buggy Racing 2, his fun fact also stated that his hair smells like vanilla cupcakes.

Biography[]

Disco Jimmy, being the stereotypical 70s dancer, has a groovy demeanor and possibly has a special someone, as stated by his biography that he likes to race, dance, and make romance (not necessarily in order).

In the first Beach Buggy game, he is seen leaning on a jukebox, moving his head and tapping his foot to the beats of the music (possibly was jamming on the background music).

Also, he is obviously confident (and possibly cocky), stated by his biography in Beach Buggy Racing 2 that he struts his stuff on and off in the race track.

Driver's Ability[]

Disco Jimmy's ability, Dance Fever, stuns the player's opponents ahead and make their avatars "dance", hence the name. Although it is wide ranged and persistent against almost any booster power ups, it lacks duration and power, and can be neutralized by steering. This made Disco Jimmy to be one of the least favourite characters in the game.

When the ability is activated, a speeding disco ball is launched and the iconic groovy music plays.

Trivia[]

  • his hair apparently smells like vanilla cupcakes.
  • He refuses to listen to music recorded after 1979.
